Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle United have entered the competition for Scandinavian wonder Eirik Granaas, who is also a target for Arsenal.
The 16-year-old Norwegian midfielder for Fredrikstad FK is already causing a stir throughout Europe and has been referred to as the “new Martin Odegaard” due to his quick rise.
Granaas broke Odegaard’s record and became the youngest player in Norwegian league history when he made his top-flight debut last summer at the age of just 15 years and 90 days.
His emergence has not gone unnoticed. Arsenal, where Odegaard is club captain, had previously been watching his growth closely, but according to TEAMtalk, Premier League rivals Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United are also firmly in the chase.

Liverpool and Chelsea both boast good track records when it comes to signing outstanding young talent from the globe, but Newcastle are equally determined to compete in that level as they continue building for the future.
The Magpies are making it plain they plan to be major contenders for Granaas’s signature.

Interest is not confined in England, however, with three European giants all fighting for the playmaker’s signature.
Granaas, Norway’s teenage sensation, is once again being closely watched by Real Madrid, who famously signed Odegaard from Stromsgodset in 2015.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, two powerful German clubs, are also keeping an eye on the situation.
Any transfer for Granaas would need patience despite the increasing interest.
