The Real Reason Bayern Munich Decide To Let Go Of Nagelsmann

On Thursday evening, Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich decided to relieve Julian Nagelsmann of his duties as the manager of the club.

The German boss is about to be replaced by Thomas Tuchel as punishment for Bayern Munich’s poor showing in the Bundesliga.

Nagelsmann took over as Bayern’s manager just under two years ago. And he led the team to the Bundesliga championship the previous season.

However, he will now resign from his position while the international break is on. With Bayern currently trailing Borussia Dortmund in the German top division.

Nagelsmann’s final game as coach ended in a loss to Bayer Leverkusen. But the 35-year-old did not believe his position was in danger. In truth, he flew to Austria to go skiing before preparing for Bayern’s season-ending run-in.

Those plans won’t be necessary any longer. As Bayern management made the unexpected choice to fire the coaching prodigy.  Club executives were left with the impression that Bayern might lose out on a treble, according to BILD.

With a flawless record in the UEFA Champions League, they have advanced to the quarterfinals of the competition. Already in the last eighth of the DFB-Pokal.

However, Bayern have dropped ten points in 2023. And this made the Bayern management furious. And they have decided Nagelsmann is “primarily to blame.”

What Next For Bayern Munich After The Decision?

Bayern has the ideal opportunity during the international break to make a change in the dugout. So, Nagelsmann will be replaced by Tuchel, who will start in his new position on Monday.

Nagelsmann learned about the decision on Thursday evening. And this left him “completely surprised.”
Bayern are set for a number of important matches. They will face Dortmund, Man City and Freiburg within a space of 10 days after club football returns.
