Tevez sent off in Argentine league game for calling referee’s sister a “whorish c***”

Carlos Tevez was sent off for dissent in Boca Juniors clash with Belgrano after launching into a foul-mouthed spat at the referee to appeal a yellow card.

Tevez was shown a yellow card by referee German Delfino for a late tackle, and despite it being a clear booking, the former Manchester City and Manchester United striker spat, “Your sister’s a whorish c***,” as reported by Goal.

The Argentine referee reached for a second yellow card after hearing the offense, leading to Tevez’s dismissal 30 minutes into the game, before his side lost 3-0 at La Bombonera.

Boca Juniors were defeated 1-0 by Lanus in their opening Argentine Primera División game, as they try to retain their title.

The 32-year-old returned Boca Juniors last year, after progressing through their youth system and signing a senior team contact in 2001 which led to 75 appearances in his three years at the club.

Tevez returned to his boyhood club in 2015, following his 66 appearances for Juventus where he netted 39 goals for the Serie A champions.

The Argentina international has 76 caps for his country, but was dropped from his country’s World Cup qualifier squad back in March and omitted from their Copa America side – who were defeated by Chile on penalties in the final.
