Spain coach Luis Enrique explains dropping De Gea

Spain coach Luis Enrique explained dropping Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea for their 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

Athletic Bilbao’s Unai Simon was chosen again in goal ahead of David De Gea, but Luis Enrique didn’t break from his usual line when asked who is his No.1.

“I’ll repeat,” the coach said, “I have three goalkeepers. Maybe even four or five. I trust all of them.”

Despite the points dropped, Luis Enrique isn’t overly disheartened with the result.

“I’m happy with what I’ve seen,” he added. “We deserved to win, I think that’s clear.

“I’m pleased with what I’ve seen.

“I’d go to the end of the world with this team.”
