Sancho Admits Dormund’s Return Always On His Mind At Man United

On loan Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho has confessed that a move to Borussia Dortmund has always been on his mind while still with the Red Devils.

In the summer of 2021, United paid £72.8 million to acquire Sancho from Dortmund. And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former manager, predicted he would rank among the best players in the world.

Sancho, though, did not achieve the same success in the Premier League. And in September he had a public fallout with Erik ten Hag which made him sign a loan deal with Dortmund.

With just 12 goals and six assists in 82 games for United, Sancho’s stats are disappointing. The winger is hoping to turn things around in Germany.

According to Manchester Evening News, in a recent interview posted on their YouTube channel, Sancho reaffirmed how much he loves playing for Dortmund. The team where he has played some of his best football.

He also acknowledged that he was constantly thinking about returning to Dortmund. And that, following a preseason game last summer, he spoke with Marco Reus about the possibility of signing again.

“Happiness, enjoyment, fun and energy,” Sancho said when asked for the words to describe his first Dortmund stint.

“Those would be the words and ever since I departed Dortmund, I always kept in touch with the players here, always watching the games.

“BVB will always be part of my life and no matter what I do in my future, the club will always have a soft spot in my heart.

“It’s mainly Marco [Reus] and obviously Jamie [Bynoe-Gittens] who I kept in touch with. Me and Jamie are both from London, so we kept in contact.”
