Ronaldo ‘Is Not Used To Losing’ – Al-Hilal Boss

Cristiano Ronaldo is “not used to losing” and lacks “mental focus” during defeats Al-Hilal boss Jorge Jesus said. This came after the Al-Nassr star was sent off during the Saudi Super Cup semi-final.

The Real Madrid and Manchester United legend was shown a red  card when he raised his fist towards the referee after seemingly stamping and elbowing an opponent.

Al-Nassr ultimately lost the semi-final 2-1, but in the 86th minute, Ronaldo lost his cool from a confrontation with Ali Al-Bulaihi of Al-Hilal, who had attempted to stop the seasoned forward from making a fast throw.

The Al-Hilal defender surfaced to be knocked down by Ronaldo after he seemed to throw an elbow in his direction.

Then, in another clip, Ronaldo looked to be stamping on an already-down Al-Bulaihi. However, the view was covered by the advertising boards. So it’s not clear if the 39-year-old actually made contact with the player.

Following an altercation between the two sides, Mohammed Al-Hoaish displayed a red card.

According to Daily Mail, Ronaldo’s fellow Portuguese, Jesus praised the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. But he attempted to explain his actions by stating that he lacks ‘mental focus’ when he loses games because he isn’t used to it.

“Ronaldo is one of the most important players in the world and an example for many,’ he told the press after the game.

“But he’s not used to losing in his career, so it is natural for him to lose his head when he loses, as well as for him to lose emotional and mental focus in defeats.”
