Ronaldo and Co collapse from two goals up as Milan beat Juventus 4-2

Juventus missed the chance to take a big step toward a ninth successive Serie A title, letting a comfortable lead slip after Adrien Rabiot scored one of the goals of the season.

Second-place Lazio lost 2-1 at relegation-threatened Lecce earlier, meaning Juventus could have extended their lead at the top of the table to 10 points with victory.

A tight first half finished scoreless after Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a goal ruled out for offside shortly before the break.

Then Adrien Rabiot broke the deadlock two minutes after the restart with a phenomenal individual effort.

The Frenchman picked up the ball inside his own half before skipping past two defenders.

He then angled his run towards the area with AC Milan players trailing in his wake. Rabiot then unleashed a fierce drive into the top corner and wheeled away in wild celebration.

Cristiano Ronaldo doubled Juve’s lead six minutes later after he latched onto a sumptuous through-ball by Juan Cuadrado.

It looked like plain sailing for the Italian champions but they collapsed in dramatic fashion.

Milan turned the match around completely in the space of five minutes.

First Ibrahimovic converted a penalty in the 62nd minute following a handball from Leonardo Bonucci.

Then came quickfire goals from Franck Kessie and substitute Rafael Leao to complete a remarkable turnaround.

Milan extended their advantage 10 minutes from full time when Giacomo Bonaventura capitalised on an error from Juventus defender Alex Sandro to set up Ante Rebic.

The Croatian’s effort was the icing on the cake and Maurizio Sarri’s side trudged off wondering how they had conceded four in the space of a manic half.
