Roma’s Tammy Abraham Linked With A Premier League Return

Roma could look to sell Tammy Abraham after an alarming slump in form over recent months.

Doubts have begun to resurface about the 25-year-old’s resilience and consistency having found the net just once in his last nine league appearances.

According to Calciomercato, Jose Mourinho is concerned at Abraham’s run of poor performances. With reports suggesting he could turn to Andrea Belotti or Ola Solbakken as his main striker instead.

He is now being linked with a return to the more familiar surroundings of the Premier League and Villa Park, where he enjoyed a productive loan spell during the 2018-19 season.

Abraham was on fire, combining well with Jack Grealish and John McGinn as Aston Villa recovered from a slow start to win promotion via the play-offs.

Despite heavy investment during the transfer window, Villa are one of the lowest-scoring teams in the top division and could do with a boost in January.

Tammy Abraham made a big impression in his first season at Roma, scoring 27 goals in all competitions for his new club.

Moving to the Stadio Olimpico last summer seemed to have revitalised Abraham’s career after falling out of favour at Chelsea.
