REPORT: Wenger refused to let Mourinho sit next to him at UEFA manager’s conference

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s long-running feud with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho shows no sign of relenting, with the Frenchman refusing to let his rival sit next to him at a Uefa conference.

Wenger and Mourinho have a bitter dislike for eachother stemming back to the latter’s initial spell in charge of Chelsea.

As reported by Marca, Mourinho was the last to enter the room at the conference in Nyon, but Wenger refused to let the 53-year-old sit next to him.

Mourinho will hope to have the last laugh this season, with his United side having made a flying start that has seen them win all three of their Premier League fixtures so far.

United take on arch-rivals City this weekend as they seek to lay down a marker with regards to their title credentials.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have had a mixed start to the season- Wenger’s team have won one, drawn one and lost one of their three Premier League fixtures so far. The Gunners, who have created 24 chances in the top flight this season, host Southampton on Saturday in a game which could see new signings Shkodran Mustaif and Lucas Perez make their debuts for the club.

It will be intriguing to see whether the Wenger-Mourinho feud intensifies further this season, with both clubs hoping to be in contention for the Premier League title.
