REPORT: Diego Costa in heated dressing room bust-up with Conte

Diego Costa and Antonio Conte were involved in a heated row in the Chelsea dressing room following their 3-0 victory over Leicester City last Saturday, according to reports in Spain.

The 28-year-old was caught making a substitution gesture towards the Chelsea manager in the second half of the match at Stamford Bridge, but it was assumed that the striker wanted to be taken off in order to avoid another yellow card, which would have seen him suspended for the clash with Manchester United on Sunday.

But it’s now emerged that Costa was reacting angrily to Conte’s constant instructions, as the Italian was unhappy with his side’s lack of pressing after the half-time break.

And according to Marca, the argument between Costa and Conte turned into a shouting match in Chelsea’s changing room after the game ended.

Costa reportedly told the Chelsea manager that it’s ‘the last time’ he was to be pointed at on the pitch and that the Italian should ‘get him out’ of the club if he was unhappy with his performances.

It’s claimed that Conte reacted angrily to Conte’s outburst and the pair had to be separated. The row is also believed to be the biggest between the pair so far since the Italian’s arrival at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
