Real Madrid Star Sends Message After Pre-Season Injury

Dani Ceballos received a big boost after signing a contract extension last month, as he had always hoped to stay at Real Madrid and establish himself as a regular in the first squad.

However, four days into the preseason action, the midfielder sustained a serious injury, which has dealt a serious blow to his hopes.

The player suffered a thigh injury, which will rule him out for the majority of the pre-season preparations and the start of the new campaign.

Ceballos sent out a message to the supporters shortly after Real Madrid confirmed his injury, expressing his desire to return as soon as possible.

“It’s time to stop for a few days due to an untimely injury. I have been preparing myself before pre-season even started with great enthusiasm. Sometimes these things happen.

“Now it’s time to recover and return as soon as possible and stronger,” Ceballos wrote on his social media channels.

Missing out on pre-season could indeed be a blow for Ceballos, who was hoping to impress Carlo Ancelotti with his conviction and work ethic.

After all, the Spaniard’s bid to become a first-team regular at Real Madrid has been made considerably more difficult by the club’s recent acquisitions of Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler.

On top of that, Real Madrid have managed to retain the services of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, at least for another year. This should greatly impact Ceballos’ role in the team going into the new season.
