Real Madrid Keeping Tabs On Harry Kane Status

Real Madrid are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Kane’s future is currently the subject of widespread debate as he enters the final 18 months of his contract.

A recent report stated that Tottenham have no intentions of selling the England international, with talks over a new agreement due to take place in the summer.

Kane is still said to be leaving North London, though, with Bayern Munich and Manchester United showing an interest.

With the futures of Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst uncertain, the Red Devils are prioritizing a striker in the summer transfer window. The latter is poised to return to Burnley when his loan stint ends at the end of the season.

Despite their admiration for Kane, Manchester United are unwilling to get into lengthy negotiations with Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich appear to be interested in signing Kane to replace Robert Lewandowski, who moved to Barcelona last summer.

The Daily Mail reports that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the 29-year-old, which could put the two clubs in further rivalry.

Karim Benzema is likely to sign a new one-year contract deal that would keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2024, but the European champions are still looking to strengthen in the final third.

The France international has experienced injury problems this year, and Real Madrid has been left without any center-forwards as a result.

Los Blancos believe Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would want Kane to quit the club and move abroad.

If Kane does not sign an extension, Real Madrid could enter into pre-contract negotiations with him next January.
