Real Madrid will not pursue Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe after failing to sign him in the summer.
The World Cup winner was set to become a free agent at the end of the 2021-22 season and was widely expected to sign with Carlo Ancelotti’s Spanish and European champions.
However, less than a month before his PSG contract was about to expire, Mbappe agreed to a new three-year deal with the Ligue 1 winners, for a whopping £1m per week.
Mbappe’s new deal sparked a battle of words between French and Spanish football executives, with Mbappe personally informing Florentino Perez that he would not be transferring to the Bernabeu.
Los Blancos recently lost out to Manchester City in the quest for Erling Braut Haaland, with Karim Benzema currently holding the fort at the tip of Ancelotti’s attack.
While Mbappe is under contract with Les Parisiens for another three seasons, a clause in his contract allows him to leave the club free at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Real Madrid Drop Interest In Kylian Mbappe?
According to Marca, Real Madrid has ruled out any future transfer for Mbappe due to the player’s financial demands, which Los Blancos will not meet.
According to the report, Real Madrid are also unwilling to pay a hefty signing-on fee for Mbappe, and the La Liga champions have withdrawn from any potential agreement for Haaland.
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing either Mbappe or Haaland if they become available at a reasonable price, although Ancelotti’s side are no longer interested in the duo.

Mbappe has started the 2022-23 season with 10 goals in nine matches after scoring 39 goals and assisting 26 times in 46 appearances for PSG in all competitions last season.
Since joining the French champions on loan in the summer of 2017, the former Monaco star has scored 181 goals and assisted 88 times in 226 games.
During that time, Mbappe won four Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France crowns, two Coupe de la Ligues, three Trophee des Champions honors, and four straight Ligue 1 Golden Boots.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid talisman Benzema scored three goals in his first four La Liga games of the new season, but the 34-year-old has been out for two weeks with a muscular injury suffered against Celtic in the Champions League.
