Rashford Returns To Man United Training Ahead Of Season Run-In

Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has returned to full training ahead of United’s season run-in.

The forward who missed his side’s victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend has returned just in time to hand the Red Devils a significant boost in their chase for top 4.

According to Manchester Evening News, he (Rashford), alongside Scott McTominay, who has been out injured since April 8 were seen to have resumed full training at the Carrington ground.

The training group included Raphael Varane, who was substituted for Harry Maguire late against Wolves as a precaution. Omari Forson and Daniel Gore, two young players, also participated in the first-team exercise.

Now that Rashford and McTominay are back, the only other injured players in United’s first-team squad are Marcel Sabitzer, Lisandro Martinez, and Donny van de Beek. They are all expected to miss the rest of the season.

Ten Hag is obviously going to provide an update on Rashford and McTominay’s readiness to face Bournemouth in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Ahead of the win over Wolves, Ten Hag said of Rashford: “I can’t tell [what the latest is] in this moment. He is not available. So for this moment, we have to focus on the team who is available. We have a good team and it’s a good squad.

“I can’t tell at this moment [how long Rashford will be out for] and as I say, it’s not my focus point at this moment. I hope [he will be back soon].”

Rashford leads the team in goals scored by a significant margin with 29 goals this season across all competitions.
