Ranieri: I’m sure Ndidi will get better

Leicester City Claudio Ranieri may give Wilfred Ndidi his Premier League debut in tomorrow afternoon’s game against Premier League leaders Chelsea.

The champions host Antonio Conte’s men in Saturday’s late game as they look to build on their 2-1 FA Cup win over

Everton last weekend, after picking up just two wins in their last nine league games.

Ndidi made his debut in the game at Goodison Park, just days after his deal from Genk was confirmed and clearly impressed the Italian.

The former Chelsea boss told the Foxes official site: “I think so. I’ve been waiting for this kind of performance.

“I’m sure he’ll get better because the more he plays, the more he will understand the team.”

The Foxes have struggled since winning the title last season and sitting just six points above the relegation zone is not what would be expected after last season’s heroics.

They will be without Leonardo Ulloa who has a muscle problem although Jamie Vardy should return after being unavailable through illness.

Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Daniel Amartey are all away at the African Cup of Nations.
