Premier League Star Hoping For Move To Arsenal Or Chelsea

Aston Villa winger, Leon Bailey has confirmed that he is open to leaving the club for a transfer to any Premier League big 6 like Arsenal or Chelsea.

After leaving Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2021 for Aston Villa in a deal estimated to be worth £30 million, the Jamaica international took some time to get used to his new surroundings.

Bailey made 26 appearances in the Premier League last season, tallying four goals and four assists, after being gradually inserted into the starting lineup with just seven starts in his debut season.

However, the 26-year-old has been playing some of his best football of the season. In 27 league games, he has eight goals and eight assists, helping Aston Villa move up to fourth place.

According to Football365, Bailey has now made hints that he would be willing for a transfer to Chelsea or Arsenal, two of the traditional “big six” teams in the Premier League.

“You have big teams in England, they call themselves the big six,” Bailey told the Let’s Be Honest podcast. “The Arsenal’s and the Chelsea’s.

“It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League and I am right now. Who wouldn’t want to go to a massive team? Especially coming out of Jamaica, do you know how big that is for the country? Especially being who I am as well.
