Newcastle United manager, Eddie Howe has reportedly confirmed that Joe Willock will return to the team ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Monday.
Howe also confirmed that Alexander Isak will not be making the matchday squad as he continues to explore move away from St. James’ Park.
Following Isak’s statement on Tuesday night, Newcastle supporters shouldn’t be surprised by that.
For the second successive Premier League match, the Magpies will be without their main striker, but they will have a far more formidable midfield against Liverpool.

Willock was seen back to training earlier this week following a preseason injury.
According to Geordie Boot Boys, Howe claims the 26-year-old has trained “really well” this week and is “looking good” for Monday night’s game at St. James’ Park against Liverpool.
“Joe trained on Tuesday and Wednesday,” he said.
“Small part on Tuesday, bigger session on Wednesday. He trained really well. Great to see him back so early.
“When he went down in the game [against Team K League], I thought he was going to be out longer-term. It didn’t look a good injury with the way he went down.
“Credit to him. [He is] back fit and looking good.”
Willock’s recovery comes at a good time because last weekend against Aston Villa, the Magpies appeared to be lacking in attacking options on the bench.
The former Arsenal player also needs it because, considering his fitness record over the last two seasons, he really does not require another severe injury.
