The Brazilian is seen in the video warming up by hopping up and down on his toes in anticipation of hitting a home run. MLB players like Shohei Ohtani won’t be too concerned, though.
To the amusement of his Newcastle colleagues, Guimaraes’ attempts at a heavy hit failed. Guimaraes swung an air shot as the ball came toward him and flew past him.

His teammates revelled in his misery with one player screaming: “Strike one!”
Reacting to the clip, Guimaraes took to Twitter saying: “I swear I’m better than this small video,” alongside a host of laughing emojis.

Despite the mishap, the Brazilian was in the stands in the early hours on Thursday morning as Newcastle battled to a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Newcastle face Brighton in the final game of their US tour on Saturday before heading back to the UK to host the Sela Cup where they take on Fiorentina and Villarreal.
