Mourinho pencils down Higuain as first Man United signing

Jose Mourinho is all set to take over at Manchester United and wants to make Gonzalo Higuain his first signing at the club, according to media reports.

The Red Devils have toiled this season and despite being in the running for a top-four finish still, are expected to part company with their uninspiring manager Louis van Gaal this summer.

The Portuguese trainer has a record of success behind him but was sacked by Chelsea earlier this term after the Blues ad a dreadful start to the new campaign.

The former Inter Milan and Real Madrid chief has been out of work since, but recently claimed that he had a number of offers on the table and would return to management next season.

A move to United would be a sensational event and could well attract a host of star names to follow suit.

Higuain has been in scintillating form in front of goal this season for Napoli, scoring 30 Serie A goals and as such attracting plenty of interest from English clubs.
