Mohamed Salah has shared a deeply emotional tribute following the tragic deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva in a car accident.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning in Zamora, Spain, after a tyre blowout caused Jota’s vehicle to veer off-road and catch fire.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, leaving the football world stunned and mourning the sudden loss of the Portuguese forward.
Salah took to social media, writing: “I am truly lost for words. It’s hard to imagine returning to Liverpool without Diogo.”
He continued: “Teammates come and go, but not like this. My heart breaks for his wife, children, and grieving parents.”
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at Matriz de Gondomar Church, with a wake taking place Friday in their hometown.
Jota, 28, was a beloved figure at Liverpool, scoring 65 goals in 182 appearances and helping secure multiple major trophies.
Internationally, he earned 49 caps and was pivotal in Portugal’s 2019 and 2025 UEFA Nations League triumphs, reports Sports NDTV.
Teammate Endo Wataru also posted: “You will never walk alone. Love you, Jots. Rest in peace, Diogo and Andre.”
