Mohamed Salah’s Agent Reacts To Liverpool Summer Exit Talk

Mohamed Salah’s representative, Ramy Abbas, has has dismissed reports that Liverpool may try to sell the attacker this summer.

The Reds are struggling in mid-table after a poor season and would need a miraculous turnaround to return to Europe’s top club tournament next year.

According to reports in Spain, a lack of elite European football next season could lead to Liverpool accepting offers for their Egyptian superstar this summer.

With Liverpool seventh in the Premier League table and nine points behind fourth-placed Tottenham after a period of poor form, Klopp’s team were crushed 5-2 by Real Madrid in the first leg of their last 16 game last week, thereby ending their hopes of competing in next year’s competition.

However, Abbas responded to those claims on Twitter: “Nonsense. This was never discussed or thought about. Not qualifying to the Champions League hasn’t even crossed our minds.”

Abbas worked with Liverpool when they offered Salah the most lucrative deal in the club’s history in the summer of 2022, with the terms expected to keep the prolific 30-year-old at Anfield until 2025.

Salah has scored 19 goals for Liverpool this season, bringing his total to 175 for the club in 289 appearances, and has given no hint that he is considering a move elsewhere after helping the Reds win the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup during his time on Merseyside.

Last season’s Golden Boot joint-winner has struggled to match his previous seasons’ form, as have his Liverpool teammates, with only eight goals in 23 league matches this season. Concerns have been raised regarding the Reds and whether a thorough rebuild is required, starting with the summer transfer window.
