Mohamed Salah Named Among Premier League All-Time Greats, Ronaldo Not Included

Mohamed Salah has been recognised by Gabby Agbonlahor as one of the Premier League’s top ten greatest players ever.

Salah, leaving Liverpool this summer, was placed fourth in Agbonlahor’s list, ahead of legends like Ryan Giggs.

Surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo did not make the selection. Agbonlahor argued that the ranking reflects Premier League performance, not career achievements elsewhere.

Top Ten Selections Highlight Salah’s Impact

Agbonlahor explained the criteria, focusing on players he enjoyed watching rather than titles, goals, or advanced statistics like xG or assists.

His top ten include Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Mohamed Salah, Steven Gerrard, Patrick Vieira, Kevin De Bruyne, Frank Lampard, Sergio Aguero, and Gareth Bale.

Salah’s inclusion recognises his consistent brilliance at Liverpool, scoring 191 goals in 323 Premier League appearances.

Agbonlahor placed him ahead of Giggs due to attacking influence and memorable performances against top opposition.

Commenting on other omissions, Agbonlahor noted that Harry Kane, Roy Keane, and Ryan Giggs did not feature, despite exceptional careers.

The focus was on unforgettable moments and watching style, not just statistical achievements, reports Talk Sport.

Agbonlahor concluded that while some names may be subjective favourites, Salah’s performances, leadership, and attacking prowess clearly earn him a place in Premier League history.

This recognition solidifies Mohamed Salah’s status as a Liverpool icon and ensures his legacy remains firmly etched in English football.
