Mikel Arteta Calls Up ‘Amazing’ 19-Year-Old To Arsenal Training

On Sunday, Arsenal will travel to West Ham United in the Premier League in a bid to get back to winning ways.

Last week, the Gunners lost two points at Liverpool, cutting the lead at the top to just six points. Additionally, Manchester City have a game remaining and  next play on Saturday evening.

With the Hammers on the rise, Arsenal will consequently need to be totally focused and at their best.

The Gunners media department posted a collection of photos from their training session at London Colney on Tuesday.

Midfielder Mauro Bandeira of the Arsenal youth team was seen participating in the training session.

Who Is This Arsenal Youngster?

Bandeira is a 19-year-old midfielder who joined the Arsenal setup from Queens’ Park Rangers in 2019.

He is currently playing for the Under-21s, with 18 Premier League 2 appearances this season. Bandeira has registered two goals and two assists in the competition.

He has also made three EFL Trophy outings this term, registering one assist.

Furthermore, Bandeira made the bench for Arsenal’s Europa League first-leg against Sporting CP.

Arsenal youth team expert Jeorge Bird has described him as an “all-action midfielder”. He also said Bandeira is “capable of making an impact both in an attacking sense and defensively”.

Some Gunners fans on Twitter have tipped the midfielder for great things in future.

Bandeira is yet to make his senior Arsenal debut, but Mikel Arteta certainly seems to rate him highly.
