The ex-Bari midfielder won’t move to England, even as all the parties had hoped for a different result.

Next summer, Castrovilli’s contract with Fiorentina expires. Therefore, this was their finest opportunity to profit from their star man who is prone to injury. club manager, Vincenzo Italiano accepted Bournemouth’s conditions without hesitation. The midfielder is no longer a part of the Italian gaffer’s plans.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was last season. Castrovilli had a season marred by injuries, appearing in just 15 Serie A games for Fiorentina. Italiano decided against integrating him in the forthcoming projects because of his vulnerability to injuries.

The Cherries however, held a different opinion. Andoni Iraola was willing to give Castrovilli a second chance.
