Mbappe Refuses To Participate In France Official Photoshoot With Sponsors

Due to a dispute over image rights, Kylian Mbappe has refused to participate in a photoshoot with the France team while on international duty.

The France team is getting ready for two Nations League games and are due to take part in a photo shoot with 14 sponsors, including Uber Eats, on Tuesday.

However, Mbappe has made it known that he would not participate in the session as part of his ongoing fight against what he believes to be unfair image rights standards for Les Bleus players. In March, he also protested sponsors.

Mbappe’s decision not to participate in the photo shoot has caused more controversy for the France team as they prepare to defend their World Cup crown.

Paul Pogba’s brother Mathias has been charged with extortion and placed in custody in relation to an extortion that involved Mbappe.

Meanwhile, the France midfielder is doubtful for the competition after undergoing surgery. The competition for spots in the starting lineup remains equally fierce.

Why Is Mbappe Not Joining The France Photoshoot?

“Mbappe decided not to take part in the planned photo session after the refusal of the Federation to modify the convention of image rights of players,” read a statement by the forward’s representatives.

“He and his representatives deeply regret that no agreement could, as requested, be found before the World Cup.”
