Marcel Sabitzer’s Agent Suggests  Permanent Move To Manchester United

Marcel Sabitzer appears to be enjoying his time at Manchester United since joining in January, and the Bayern Munich loanee insists his future will be decided in the summer.

According to his agency, Marcel Sabitzer is quite happy at Manchester United and would be open to making his loan move from Bayern Munich permanent in the summer.

Sabitzer joined United on loan until the rest of the season on January transfer deadline day, with Erik ten Hag in need of midfield reinforcements following Christian Eriksen’s injury. He has made four appearances for United so far, with Eriksen’s injury, Casemiro’s now-served suspension, and Scott McTominay’s earlier absence providing ample opportunities.

The Austrian international was a bit-part player for Bayern Munich and has embraced the opportunity to play more frequently. His agent, Roger Wittmann, believes the Premier League’s style suits him and has hinted that a summer transfer could be on the cards.

“At Manchester United we see Marcel from Leipzig again. I’m very happy for him,” Wittmann told SPORT1. Asked what happens in the summer, he replied: “We’ll see when the time comes.”

According to SPORT1, Bayern would be open to a permanent move during the summer transfer window. The Bavarian giants want to recuperate at least the €15 million (£13.2 million) they spent RB Leipzig to sign him in August 2021.

Sabitzer is under contract with Bayern until June 2025, but if he impresses Ten Hag, a deal that benefits all parties could be struck. While his performances have not been flawless (he was fortunate to avoid a red card for a clumsy challenge on Wout Faes during the weekend’s 3-0 win over Leicester), Wittmann believes Sabitzer’s box-to-box style fits the Premier League nicely.
