Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane gave a reserved comment when asked about Newcastle United’s transfer link to him.
The former Liverpool star refused to rule out a move to the Tyneside club as he continues to be linked with a Premier League return.
The Senegalese forward only moved to Bayern in the summer of 2022. Capping off a wildly successful run at Anfield. Mane signed a three-year contract at the Allianz Arena after he was acquired by Bayern for £35 million.
Although he had a fantastic start, scoring 11 goals across all competitions. His move gradually turned into a nightmare. He only managed one goal in the second half of the season. And was suspended for fighting with teammate Leroy Sane on the training ground.
Mane has been linked to an immediate return to the Premier League. As only English clubs are anticipated to pay the kind of wages he would be seeking as a result.
Mane doesn’t seem to be completely against the notion. Martin Callahan, a former British MEP who met the Bayern star at an EITI International conference in Senegal, reports the same.

Taking to Twitter with a picture of the pair together, he wrote: “I’m in Senegal speaking at the EITI conference. Honoured to meet Sadio Mane in the hotel. I couldn’t resist asking him about coming to Newcastle next season. His enigmatic reply: ‘Never say never!’”

Mane enjoyed a successful stint at Anfield where he signed in the 2016/17 season. During a trophy-filled tenure on Merseyside, he won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and more.
