Manchester United‘s move for Juventus star Paul Pogba has gathered yet more pace, after the Red Devils’ sponsor Chevrolet dropped a big hint on Instagram.
The France superstar has been the subject of transfer talks between United and the Turin-based club for months and a deal set to break the world transfer record could be secured within 48 hours, according to reports in Italy.
Juventus completed the signing of striker Gonzalo Higuain for £75 million on Tuesday, which many feel has been financed by Pogba’s imminent move back to Old Trafford.
Beyond reports, this summer’s most high-profile saga has involved numerous updates and ‘hints’ from unusual sources, from Pogba’s barber’s Instagram post to Mino Raiola addressing the speculation on Twitter.
Chevrolet have added more fuel to the fire after Manchester United’s shirt sponsor followed Pogba on Instagram.
The page makes their love for Jose Mourinho’s side quite clear – highlighted by their ‘#GGMU’ in their bio – but their following of Pogba will certainly play with the heads of Manchester United fans some more.
The Instagram page follows 109 accounts – largely both former and current Manchester United players – and comes after Pogba himself dropped a hint on the social media account.
The midfielder posted a picture of himself at a gas station in the USA on Wednesday night, filling up his car and editing the picture with the colours red, white and black.
While conjecture is all that can be gleaned from social media activity, United fans will currently be eager to grasp on to anything they can as the £100 million deal edges ever closer.
