Manchester United midfielder, Mason Mount is expected to be replaced ahead of the next season.
Mount signed for Manchester United from Chelsea in 2023 for a reported £55 million, taking over the vacant no.7 shirt at Old Trafford previously worn by Cristiano Ronaldo during his second stay with the club.
Mount, on the other hand, has made only 14 and 17 Premier League appearances in the last two seasons, scoring just two league goals, as injuries have stopped him from making a significant contribution to the squad.
Manchester United to make an offer for Brazilian playmaker.
Manchester United’s relatively new 3-4-2-1 formation is still taking shape under Amorim, with Bruno Fernandes capable of playing in the double pivot, behind the striker, or as the number nine, as he has done on occasion.
Though the Portuguese skipper is somewhat irreplaceable for United, Mount has been utilized in comparable capacities; yet, considering that the Cobham academy graduate has become completely unreliable owing to his absence, it looks that Amorim has been handed a lifeline to upgrade.
Turkish publication, stated via Sport Witness that United are preparing to make a €40 million deal for Galatasaray’s Gabriel Sara.
Sara had played for Norwich City in the Premier League before moving to the Super Lig, and as a player capable of working deep in midfield or as a no.10, the Brazilian represents an economical upgrade on Mount.
According to Sport Witness, Cimbom “would be open to selling the central midfielder for €35 million,” leaving the option of selling Mount or loaning out the England international with three years remaining on his contract.
FourFourTwo knows that United are looking at another midfielder, but Amorim is prioritizing a centre-forward as he wants to add goals to a team that ended 15th in the table last season.
