Merseyside Police have confirmed charges against Paddy Lacey, brother of Man United academy talent Shea Lacey, following November’s shooting.
The 32-year-old has been charged with attempted murder alongside three others after an incident in Huyton last year.
On November 28, 2025, a man in his twenties was shot twice in the leg around 10:20pm.

According to the Liverpool Echo, two suspects on a Sur-Ron bike carried out the attack before fleeing.
Police executed coordinated warrants across Knowsley, Sefton and Liverpool, leading to four arrests confirmed Thursday evening.
Multiple Charges Confirmed Ahead Of Court Appearance
Lacey faces charges including attempted murder, conspiracy to murder, possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life.
John Aaron Jones, John George Patrick Hughes and Bernard Flynn were also charged in connection with incident.
All four men are scheduled to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton and St Helens Adult Remand Court, reports Sports Bible.
Detective Inspector Chris Clark confirmed investigations remain ongoing, urging witnesses and residents to submit relevant footage.
Clark requested dashcam, CCTV or doorbell recordings, stressing officers will independently assess all information received.
Paddy Lacey previously played within Manchester United’s academy before spells at Liverpool and Sheffield Wednesday.
He later featured for Accrington Stanley and non-league clubs including Southport, Chester and Altrincham during career.
Away from football, Lacey competes professionally as a middleweight boxer, holding a 12-1 record.
