Man United Star Snub Everton For January Move To Spanish Side

Manchester United midfielder, Hannibal Mejbri has reportedly handed a transfer blow to Everton as he rejects a move to the Goodison Park in favour of a move to Spain.

In an attempt to strengthen his team following a slump in performance over the holidays, Sean Dyche and the Toffees have been pursuing a move for Mejbri during the winter transfer window.

Indeed, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano posted last week that the Merseyside outfit were focused on bringing the 20-year-old to Goodison Park.

Because Amadou Onana is being strongly linked to Arsenal, there are increasing rumours that he may be leaving the club. And Dyche is keen to add another midfielder to his ranks.

Hannibal seems to be opposed to moving to Everton, though, presumably because he is afraid of joining a team that is fighting for relegation.

In light of this, journalist Rudy Galetti asserts that the United player has chosen to transfer to Sevilla in Spain.

According to Galetti as reported by TeamTalk, the Tunisian midfielder has agreed to join the La Liga side on loan, with the possibility of a permanent move granted in the summer of 2024.

Hannibal has played in 13 games for United, scoring one goal during the team’s 3-1 home loss to Brighton in September.

The youngster has scored three goals in 59 games overall in his career. He played for Birmingham on loan in the Championship the previous season.

In an attempt to catch up in the race for Champions League football, United are scheduled to play Tottenham in their first Premier League match of the year on Sunday.
