Man United, Newcastle Lead Race To Sign 27-Year-Old Striker

Manchester United and Newcastle are reportedly the front-runners to sign Stuttgart talismanic forward, Serhou Guirassy as both clubs look to strengthen their attacking options.

This season, the Guinea international has scored 17 goals in all competitions, proving his incredible form.

According to a Football Insider as reported by Caught Offside, the two English teams are in the running to sign him. However, it is unclear where the 27-year-old will ultimately end up.

The former France U-20 forward desire to compete at the highest level possible and advance in his career. He could end up playing for either the Magpies or the Red Devils, which would be exciting.

Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak are already available to Newcastle. But Wilson’s injury history raises some questions, and they could use additional depth in the attack.

Guirassy is at the height of his career, and if he signs with the Premier League side, he might make an instant impact.

Regarding United, Rasmus Hojlund will require some time to regularly display his abilities, and Marcus Rashford has not been at his best this season.

Guirassy is exactly the kind of quality goal scorer the Red Devils are sorely lacking.

In the final third, the 27-year-old may completely transform both teams, and he might be available for a fair price.

He reportedly has a £15 million release clause in his contract, and both United and Newcastle should be able to afford him come January.
