Man City Move Ahead Of Liverpool In Race To Sign £80M Rated Star

Manchester City are reportedly ahead in the race to sign Bayern Munich star, Jamal Musiala as they are confident and certain to get the deal done in the summer.

Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in the attacking midfielder. But the Premier League defending champions might outsmart them.

The Daily Star as reported by CaughtOffside claims that Musiala declined an offer of a new contract at the Allianz Arena. And that will surely give rise to more rumors that Musiala is thinking of a move elsewhere.

Two of the teams trying to convince Musiala to leave Bayern this summer are City and Liverpool. When the Bavarians lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last month, scouts from both clubs were present.

In an attempt to extend their agreement with the 21-year-old, who is under contract through June 2026, Bayern had made a weekly offer of £150,000. With four assists and nine goals in 28 games this season, the 25-cap Germany international has established himself as a vital player for Die Roten.

But Musiala’s decision not to sign a new contract was reportedly revealed to Man City last week. The former Chelsea academy product has played in over 150 games with the German giants.

Musiala could earn up to £200,000 per week and is anticipated to cost at least £80 million. It is estimated that he currently makes approximately £90,000 at Bayern.

If the 21-year-old Musiala joins Pep Guardiola’s Man City, they will have one of the best young players in their lineup. Musiala is currently playing the best football of his career.
