Lyon’s Tolisso: I dream of playing for Arsenal

Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso has revealed that he would love to play for Arsenal in the future, and insists that his style of football suits the Premier League.

The Frenchman broke into Lyon’s first team in 2013 and has become a key figure in the team, at just 22-years-old. Although Lyon are seven points behind leaders Nice after just eight matches, Tolisso has been a stand out performer in Ligue 1, scoring three goals and assisting one.

But despite the French club being fancied to qualify for the Champions League again this season, the no.8 midfielder has revealed that he would be open to a move elsewhere.

Tolisso said, as reported by the Evening Standard: “Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal. I love the Premier League and I think I have the profile. This is the championship that also offers more competition, which is the most open, the most contested and the most spectacular.”

Lyon are in the Champions League this season and have taken three points from their opening two matches, beating Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 and narrowly losing away to Sevilla.

The club will be hoping to become one of the major forces of French football yet again, following the rise of Paris Saint Germain, by holding onto and attracting young quality players.
