Liverpool Name 32-Man Squad, Omit Player Ahead Transfer Move

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has announced the 32-man traveling squad for Liverpool’s preseason camp in Germany.

The Reds will go on a flight on Saturday to establish a base in Baden-Württemberg for the subsequent round of their 2023–24 season preparations. With friendlies against Karlsruher SC on Wednesday and Greuther Furth the following Monday. Klopp’s team will be in the region for ten days.

Liverpool travelling squad: Alisson, Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Thiago, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Mac Allister, Salah, Adrian, Henderson, Gakpo, Jota, Tsimikas, Robertson, Matip, Bajcetic, Phillips, Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Pitaluga, Bradley, Clark, Doak, Frauendorf, Jaros, Koumas, McConnell, Mrozek, Quansah, Scanlon.

From the list above, it could be seen that Fabinho’s name has been omitted. This is to give the clue that he might be moving on to Saudi Arabia.

The 29-year-old Brazilian has been a subject of intense transfer to Al Ittihad. The fee is in the region of £40 million. And Liverpool are said to be in advance negotiations with the Saudi-based club.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fabinho will not be flying out with the Reds for their second round pre-season training in Germany. As he is nearing a move to Saudi Arabia.

He said: Fabinho will NOT travel to Germany with the Liverpool squad as talks with Al Ittihad are now advanced. With personal terms agreed.

Jordan Henderson will travel with the squad as he already agreed terms with Al Ettifaq but clubs are not close to agremeent on fee.
