Liverpool Likely To Finalize Their Next Transfer As Midfielder Closes On New Contract

Liverpool midfielder Luca Stephenson is likely to spend another season on loan at Dundee United. The Reds are nearing an agreement with the Scottish Premiership club for Stephenson, who will sign a new long-term deal before returning to Tannadice.

Stephenson spent last season on loan at Dundee United, where he appeared 34 times, scoring three goals and contributing two assists.

He was such a success for the Tangerines that he was voted Young Player of the Season, and his achievements earned him loan offers from a number of clubs this summer. According To Echo News.

Championship side Swansea City and League One outfits Cardiff City, Reading and Rotherham United were all interested, while another Scottish Premiership club, Aberdeen, considered a permanent move.

Stephenson featured regularly during pre-season for Liverpool and, as part of the tour to the Far East, impressed the Reds’ senior coaching staff during both training and games when filling in at right-back.

He joined Liverpool from Sunderland at under-15 level, rose through the ranks, and spent a season on loan at League Two club Barrow in 2023-24.
