Liverpool Duo Eye Injury Return Ahead Of Sheffield United Clash

Curtis Jones and Andrew Robertson are reportedly set to return back to footballing action for Liverpool against Sheffield United.

Liverpool are aware that they cannot afford to lose Thursday night’s match at Anfield to bottom-place Sheffield. On Sunday, the Reds overcame a deficit to defeat Brighton and reclaim the top spot in the Premier League.

Jürgen Klopp’s team is now two points ahead of Arsenal after their draw with Manchester City later in the day. But things could still change before Thursday’s game. On Wednesday night, Arsenal and City play host to Luton and Aston Villa, respectively.

This week’s title race will be extremely exciting as Liverpool travel to Old Trafford to play Manchester United on Sunday. Hoping to exact revenge for their recent FA Cup quarterfinal loss.

According to LiverpoolFC, Robertson and Jones are both expected to return against the Blades to give Klopp’s team a much needed boost.

Jones hasn’t featured in any games since sustaining an ankle injury against Brentford in February. And Robertson hobbled off during Scotland’s international break.

Despite not being risked against Brighton, both had trained the previous week. And Klopp will have plenty to consider when selecting his squad.

With Alisson still out, Caoimhín Kelleher, the Republic of Ireland stopper, is guaranteed a spot in goal as he keeps up his impressive play.

Conor Bradley is expected to remain at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold still out. While Ibrahima Konaté, who rested on Sunday, might start alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Kostas Tsimikas is hoping for more playing time against the Blades. So Klopp might decide to start Robertson off the bench.
