Liverpool are reportedly seeking to sign a replacement for midfielder, Fabinho who is getting closer to the exit door with a transfer to Saudi Arabia imminent.
Crystal Palace midfielder, Cheick Doucoure has been touted for a move to the Merseyside club if the Brazilian international leaves.
Due to a £40 million bid from Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Arabian Pro League, Fabinho did not travel to Germany for the first leg of the team’s preseason tour.
The transfer could be finalized this week. Which would undoubtedly be a huge loss for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Despite the 29-year-old’s disappointing performance last season.
Numerous outstanding players have been mentioned as a potential replacement for the Brazilian. But it’s unclear who the club are focusing on most.
Only Stefan Bajcetic in the team fulfills the description of the lone defensive midfield position without Fabinho. Despite his impressive performance last season and at the age of 18, he is not yet mature enough to get in the starting line-up on a weekly basis.
Palace’s Doucoure is one player whose signing would be shocking. The Mali international has Premier League and international experience. And is a young, athletic midfielder who may definitely raise his levels and progress under Klopp.
Despite the expectations of fans who might have expected a greater name to be signed for such a crucial position.

According to Football Insider, Doucoure, who was named Palace’s Player of the Year in his debut season in England, has ‘caught the eye’ of Liverpool.
It is unclear how much the club could demand given that his current contract expires in 2027. And that he only joined last season for £21 million.
