Liverpool Could Enter Race For Chelsea Target If Star Player Leaves

Liverpool will reportedly enter the transfer race to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder, Moises Caicedo if Jordan Henderson leaves the club. Caicedo has been on the radar of Chelsea since the summer transfer window was opened. And it now seems the Reds could enter the race for the 21-year-old.

According to a recent report from Talksport as cited by Caught Offside, if Jordan Henderson and Fabinho depart the team this summer, they may try to recruit the Ecuadorian midfielder.

It will be intriguing to see how things turn out because both players have been mentioned in connection with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Caicedo is reportedly also a target for Chelsea. After losing N’Golo Kanté, the Blues must sign a top-notch defensive midfielder.

The 21-year-old has made a name for himself as one of the top up-and-coming defensive midfielders in the country. And Liverpool may find him to be a solid addition.

Last season, Liverpool needed to improve on guys like Henderson and Fabinho since they were both somewhat underwhelming.

Even though they have already replaced Henderson with the signing of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. If Fabinho departs the club, they must immediately recruit a defensive midfielder.

Caicedo has the ability to become a player of the highest level. And being managed by Jurgen Klopp can only help him get better.

It will be intriguing to see if the Reds and Brighton can come to terms on a contract for the midfielder. Recently, the two clubs also worked on Mac Allister’s transfer.

But this summer, Caicedo is probably going to be more expensive. The midfielder just extended his contract with Brighton. So the Seagulls are not under any immediate pressure to sell him.
