Liverpool, Chelsea, And Newcastle To Go All Out For Serie A Star

Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United are reportedly desperate to revisit their interest in Inter Milan star Niccolo Barella after their pursuit of the midfielder ended in the summer transfer window.

Inter Milan were said to not be interested in selling their prized asset after Andre Onana moved to Manchester United.

Liverpool are still looking to bolster their midfield ranks even after adding four in the department this summer. Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch were all midfield summer additions for the Reds.

Chelsea on the other hand are interested in Barella even as they have spent a whooping £170 million on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia from Brighton and Southampton respectively.

After their failed attempt to bring in the Inter star, Newcastle decided to shell out £70 million for AC Milan combative midfielder, Sandro Tonali.

But it has been reported that the Magpies are still looking out for the 26-year-old. And are likely to renew their interest for the last season UEFA Champions League finalist.

According to Team Talk, the Premier League trio could be set for another battle for Barella in the next summer transfer window.

It has also been reported that Inter will likely soften their stance on the Azzurri midfielder as they are looking for funds for a summer rebuild in their squad.

Barella has played in all the three of Inter’s Serie A fixtures as the Nerazzurri are currently on a 100 per cent record to the start of the season.
