Lionel Messi’s Return To Barcelona Now Possible, La Liga Accept Feasibility Plan

Barcelona have received the green light from La Liga on their viability plan, with Lionel messi’s potential return now possible.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has been linked with an emotional return to Camp Nou since it became clear that no new deal will be signed at Paris Saint-Germain. Messi is set to leave France after his lucrative contract expires.

Messi has been linked with moves to the MLS and the Middle East, but Barcelona remains committed to reuniting a prodigal son with his spiritual home. Financial difficulties have made life difficult, but the sale of Antoine Griezmann and the release of Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba have earned valuable revenue.

According to Relevo, Barcelona will also make cuts in their basketball department, with roughly €40m (£35m/$43m) potentially added to the pot this summer.

That will be enough to register the already agreed-upon contracts of Gavi and Ronald Araujo, as well as bring in experienced defender Inigo Martinez from Athletic Club.

Barca are still short on funds to fully fund Messi’s deal, but they may decide to offload Ansu Fati, Abde Ezzalzouli, and Raphinha during the summer transfer window.

He is eager to return, but he is always concerned that his registration may be rejected. However, the news that reaches him is fantastic. Barcelona’s saving efforts are on track, and he is far closer than initially thought to being able to save enough money for his return.

They will need Messi to be patient for the time being as he considers other options. However, La Liga is pleased with the club’s financial sustainability plan, which means the iconic Argentine could be back on the Blaugrana’s books in 2023-24.
