Jarell Quansah has completed his move from Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen for up to £35 million.
The 22-year-old had a successful European Under-21 Championship campaign as part of Lee Carsley’s victorious England team, but his opportunities at club level were limited last season under Arne Slot. The homegrown central defender started four Premier League games and 13 overall, as Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté formed a title-winning combo. According To Sky Sport.
Liverpool will get a guaranteed £30 million for Quansah, plus £5 million in add-ons. The agreement is the third between the two teams this summer, following the Premier League champions’ acquisition of Jeremie Frimpong and record signing Florian Wirtz.

Despite releasing the young defender, who signed a new long-term contract at Anfield only in October, Liverpool sees Quansah as a player with high potential and has negotiated a pre-agreed buy-back clause in the agreement with Leverkusen.
Liverpool could enhance their central defensive options for next season by signing Crystal Palace captain Marc Guéhi. The 24-year-old is a target for the champions, but Palace will need to lower their asking price of £65 million for a defender with only a year left on his contract in order for Liverpool to sign him.
