Lazio Star Involved In Terrifying Car Crash With His Daughters

Lazio and Italy forward Ciro Immobile was reportedly involved in an automobile accident on Sunday as his car was hit by a tram.

A tram struck Ciro Immobile’s automobile, which was carrying him and his children. Which led them to be rushed to the hospital.

The Lazio captain was driving in Rome on Sunday morning with his two daughters when a tram “ran a red light,” according to him. Some distressing photographs of the 33-year-old striker’s wrecked Land Rover SUV swiftly circulated on social media. Later, his club issued a statement stating that he had rib and back problems. Although brought to the hospital, Immobile and his daughters weren’t gravely hurt.

What Did Lazio Say About The Incident?

A statement published on Lazio’s official website read: “The medical staff of Lazio announces that, today, following a road accident, the footballer Ciro Immobile reported a sprain trauma of the spine and the compound fracture of the XI right rib.

“Conditions are currently good. The player remains under observation at the department of emergency medicine directed by Professor Francesco Franceschi of the Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS in Rome.”

Immobile was traveling close to Ponte Matteotti, which is only five minutes from Lazio’s illustrious home stadium, the Stadio Olimpico.

According to reports, the Italian star also helped a victim of the incident get to an ambulance. While politely checking on them and asking how they were doing.

The incident occurs just two days after Immobile scored a penalty in Lazio’s 3-0 triumph over struggling Spezia. The goal ended his six-game goalless streak.

The victory moves the Rome powerhouses up to second place in the standings, although Maurizio Sarri’s team is still 14 points behind champions-elect Napoli.
