Kylian Mbappe Was Promised Lewandowski, Silva, Skriniar Signings At PSG

Kylian Mbappe was allegedly promised that Paris Saint-Germain would bring in Robert Lewandowski, Milan Skriniar and Bernardo Silva upon signing his new contract extension.

The 23-year-old signed a new three-year contract with the French champions earlier this year, but he is now believed to be looking for a way out.

Mbappe turned down Real Madrid’s offer to continue his stay in Paris, but he has allegedly been ‘betrayed’ by the board over unfulfilled promises made when he signed the contract.

Mbappe’s overall role at the Parc des Princes and in the first team under Christophe Galtier, as well as PSG’s failings in the summer transfer window, are said to be some of his frustrations.

PSG promised Mbappe that the club would sign Lewandowski, Silva, and Skriniar while discussing new terms, according to journalist Romain Molina, via GFFN.

However, none of the three moved to the Parc des Princes, as Barcelona beat Bayern Munich to sign Lewandowski, and Silva remained at Manchester City despite interest from PSG and Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Galtier has confirmed that PSG sought to sign Inter Milan centre-back Skriniar in the summer, with the 27-year old’s contract expiring at the end of the season.

However, Inter’s asking price was too high, and PSG eventually backed out of a deal to sign Skriniar, who is set to become a free agent in the summer of 2023.

Mbappe’s options for leaving the Parc des Princes appear to be limited, as Real Madrid apparently decided not to renew their interest after missing out on a summer deal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are seen as the only other candidates running for Mbappe’s signature, but the Reds have already paid £64m to sign Darwin Nunez from Benfica.
