Kane Offered Lucrative Contract As Tottenham Fight Off Bayern

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to offer club captain, Harry Kane a new contract worth £400,000 to stay at the club and fend off interest from Bayern Munich.

The England captain’s future remains uncertain since his contract with Tottenham is slated to end in the summer of 2024.

For the 29-year-old, Bayern Munich recently upped their bid to £70 million including add-ons, despite Spurs’ intense desire to keep him.

After news broke that Kane had met Thomas Tuchel in London, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was said to be “very angry.”

Tottenham are now prepared to make a huge contract offer to Kane in an effort to influence his decision.

“Harry Kane could earn up to £400,000-a-week by staying at Tottenham,” Matt Law of the Telegraph reported on Twitter.

“Over to Ange to convince him, starting with their first meeting tomorrow.”

Kane demonstrated his value last season despite Tottenham’s struggles. He scored 30 league goals and notched up three assists.

At this stage, losing their talisman would be devastating for Spurs. But they are hoping that this new contract would serve as a strong enough inducement to stay put.

In a recent interview with the media, Ange Postecoglou made it clear that he has not requested any guarantees about Kane’s future.

Spurs will be hoping that this new contract offer will be sufficient to keep Kane around even though his future is still up in the air.
