Juventus have been given a 10-point punishment, damaging their prospects of competing in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Juventus fell from second place in Serie A to seventh as a result of the most recent penalty for false accounting.
As a result, AC Milan moved into fourth position in Serie A and the final Champions League qualifying spot. Leaving the Bianconeri five points adrift.
As they play Milan the next weekend, Juve’s prospects of making it into Europe’s elite competition would still have been in their own hands. But immediately after that, Massimiliano Allegri’s club suffered a 4-1 defeat at Empoli.

What Did Juventus Say About The Point Deduction?
In a statement, Juventus claimed that they could appeal the punishment. Delaying the resolution of the matter until the season is over.
“What was established by the fifth instance of judgment in this matter, which began more than a year ago, arouses great bitterness in the club and in its millions of supporters who, in the absence of clear rules, find themselves extremely penalized with the application of sanctions that do not seem to take into account the principle of proportionality.
“While not ignoring the need for urgency, which Juventus has never shied away from during the proceedings, it is emphasized that these are facts that still have to be evaluated by a judge,” Juventus added.

In January, Juventus received a 15-point deduction. And had many board members, including former president Andrea Agnelli, barred from participating in football-related activities.
The points deduction was put on hold last month following an appeal to the Italian Olympic Committee, the nation’s top sports court. And was sent back to the football federation’s appeals court for a further hearing.
