Jude Bellingham Accepts Real Madrid Contract Offer In Huge Blow To Premier League Clubs

Jude Bellingham has reportedly accepted all of the details in his contract to join the Spanish club Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The England international appears to be “excited” about the project at the LaLiga giants.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bellingham’s contract is now contingent on Real Madrid’s meeting with Borussia Dortmund in May.

The final amount for the player will be negotiated between the two clubs.

“Jude Bellingham has accepted all the details of Real Madrid contract proposal already 10 days ago,” Romano tweeted.

“He’s excited by Madrid project.

“Real Madrid want to meet with Borussia Dortmund in May in order to agree on the final package/fee.”

It is a huge blow for Manchester City and Manchester United, who had been very interested in signing him.

Liverpool were also mentioned as a possible destination, but they withdrew out of the running last month after learning that a transfer would be too costly.

It was reported at the beginning of the month that Bellingham will be offered a deal worth £12m per year.

Real Madrid are also expected to rekindle their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, with Jude Bellingham already agreeing terms.

According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid intends to capitalize on the chaos by launching another bid for Mbappe. Madrid had previously sought the 24-year-old, most notably making a £170m ($214m) bid for him last summer before he agreed to new terms in Paris.

While Madrid are almost done with the Bellingham deal, they could still spend big on Mbappe. Meanwhile, they are pursuing European victory, and will face Manchester City in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final encounter next Wednesday.
