Israel Adesanya Prepared To Defend His Title

UFC president Dana White has stated that Israel Adesanya will face Jared Cannonier after defending his title at UFC 271.

This will be one of the best upcoming battles, as it will take place in the coming months. Israel Adesanya will be a 22-1 favorite, while Jared Cannonier will be a 15-5 underdog.
According to reports, Jared Cannonier called out Israel Adesanya and challenged him to fight for his title.

“I want that shot next,” Cannonier yelled at cage-side UFC president Dana White. “That’ll be my next shot. It’s just myself, no one else .”

“Yeah, I’m not going to say no to Cannonier,” Israel stated when questioned about Cannonier’s request for a title shot.

Cannonier has been studying Israel’s fights for a few years and believes he has what it takes to defeat one of the world’s greatest.

Israel has been reserved in some of his remarks, while Cannonier has not. He had some fascinating things to say regarding the upcoming fight between the two in a recent interview.

“All I know is that it’s going to be highly competitive, without giving away too much of my game plan.” More competitive than any of his previous fights in the octagon. I’m confident that it will be the same for me.

“But I’m going to anticipate less, just answering any of the questions he’ll throw at me with ferocity, and I don’t know, any of those nice phrases we can throw in there, but I feel like he’ll have to adjust his strategy, that’s for sure.” He’s not going to style-bending in there because I’m going to neutralize his game and impose minds with any and everybody.”
