Ismaila Sarr Scores An Amazing Goal From His Own Half!

Watford’s Ismaila Sarr struck a spectacular goal from within his own half to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead over West Brom in the EFL Championship.

The 24-year-old put the Hornets ahead in the 12th minute before Karian Grant equalized for the Baggies in the 45th minute at the Hawthorns.

How Did The Game Go?

Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis led the line for Watford boss Rob Edwards, who kept the same starting lineup from the team’s victory over Sheffield United in the season opener. Brazilian Joao Pedro played behind them.

Though the Hornets could have grabbed the lead in the fifth minute, goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann made two crucial saves to keep the Baggies in the game. The Baggies actually started the game as the stronger team.

However, against all odds, the Hornets seized the lead when Sarr collected the ball in his own half and looked towards goal, where he found goalkeeper David Button off his line.

The Senegal star then let loose a long ball that went all the way into the goal.

Before the interval, Grant got space inside Watford’s danger zone to score the equalizer for West Brom.

West Brom kept trying to score in the second half, and Dara O’Shea nearly scored after heading wide from a corner.

Sarr should have added a second goal for Watford in the 73rd minute from the penalty spot, but Button dived in to block his poor strike.
