‘I’m Very Proud To Manage This Club’ – Lampard Says Despite Struggle

Despite his side’s struggle since his appointment, Chelsea interim manager, Frank Lampard says ‘he loves the challenge and is very proud to manage the club.’

Since returning to the club earlier this month for a second stint as manager, this time as caretaker, after Graham Potter was fired. Lampard has lost all five of his games in charge.

Chelsea’s winless streak in all competitions has now lasted eight games. They are currently six points below the top 10 teams in the Premier League. And were booed off the field at halftime of last week’s 2-0 home loss to Brentford.

The Blues will visit Arsenal on Tuesday in what is going to be a make or mar fixture in the latter’s season.

As reported by Belfast Telegraph, Lampard responded when asked if he still enjoyed going to work:

“I’m too experienced in football as a player and now as a coach to understand that things don’t necessarily change over night in terms of results and we’ve seen that.

“Our job is to work on performances and mentality of the group in training to try and bring back a good feeling. That only comes with hard work.
